Founded in 1882, Karo no Uron is Fukuoka's oldest surviving udon shop — a name every person born in Hakata knows from childhood.
1882年（明治15年）創業、現存する福岡最古のうどん屋として博多っ子なら誰もが知る存在。
Noodles are hand-pulled the evening before and rested overnight, a tradition unchanged for over 140 years that produces the hallmark soft yet springy texture.
前日に手打ちして一晩寝かせるという独自製法で、140年以上変わらぬ柔らかくも腰のある麺を守り続けており、看板メニューのごぼ天うどんは700〜950円というこの味でこの値段かと驚くほどのコスパを誇る。
Goboten udon starts at around 700 to 950 yen, and since the kitchen closes as soon as the noodles run out, the line that forms before opening says everything about its worth.
麺がなくなれば早々と閉店するため、開店前から行列をつくるほどの人気がその価値を証明している。
