The 'Uni Bento' (sea urchin lunchbox), a treasure of Northern Sanriku, is limited to 20 per day and draws early morning queues. Simple yet spectacular: steamed uni piled on top of uni-seasoned rice. The soba using local specialty 'Mamebujiru' soup is also famous. Open from 7am, a local breakfast staple.
