Restaurant Jiyuken
Founded in 1909 (Meiji 42), Kanazawa's oldest Western restaurant at the entrance to Higashi Chaya District. Famous for its Kanazawa-style omurice with soy-sauce-flavored dark rice and thin egg wrap. Long beloved by the district's geisha. Omurice remains at a very reasonable ¥830.
Reviews: 'The taste from 1909 hasn't changed,' 'Many Kanazawa locals have been coming here for years in the chaya district,' 'For ¥830 you're tasting Kanazawa's history.'
