Shokudo Kikaku
A long-established diner in Ishinomaki City. Founded in 1940 (Showa 15), with 85 years of history. The signature 'Saba-dashi Ramen' (mackerel broth ramen) was developed in 2011 through a university-industry collaboration as part of post-earthquake reconstruction. Features deep umami from Sanriku mackerel bone broth, tender chashu pork and mackerel fish cakes. Featured on the TV dramas 'Kodoku no Gourmet' (The Lonely Gourmet) and 'Kenmin Show.' A retro Showa-era diner deeply rooted in the local community.
