Ganso Enban Gyoza Manpuku
Founded in 1953, this is the originator of Fukushima's iconic disc-shaped gyoza. It began as a street stall by a Manchuria repatriate near Fukushima Inari Shrine. The hand-kneaded thin-skin dumplings filled with generous cabbage are arranged in a circular disc of 30 and pan-fried—selected as one of Japan's Top 3 gyoza styles. Fully handmade, passed down through three generations. Open for lunch on weekends until sold out. Takeout available. Featured as the model for a gyoza shop in Sazae-san anime in April 2026.
"The thin skin has great umami even without dipping sauce. The taste unchanged since 1953." "Weekend queues are inevitable - some people line up before 11am." "Takeout gyoza are delicious at home too." "Surprisingly easy to polish off all 30 pieces."
