A Katsushika Shitamachi institution dating to 1966, this motsu-yaki bar has been featured on popular television programs and has earned every bit of that attention over its nearly 60 years of service.
The house rules are simple: order the motsu-yaki in sets of four, ask for the signature herbal-medicine highball, and budget around 2,000 to 3,000 yen for a thoroughly satisfying evening.
Lines start forming well before 4 p.m.
and the place fills up within an hour of opening — proof that six decades of local devotion does not lie.

Fake reviews removed3-minute walk from Kameari Station north exit. Founded 1966, a veteran motsuyaki izakaya called 'Kameari's checkpoint.' Massively popular with locals. Famous for large skewers using Senju negi and a secret highball with herbs. Queue forms by 4pm, closes around 8:30pm. Closed weekends. Featured on Adachi TV April 2025 and Yoshida Rui's Sakaba Hourouki.
