Oki Shokudo
Established in 1955, Oki Shokudo is one of the founding shops of Kurume's 'shokudo-kei' (diner-style) ramen. A beloved institution favored by local legends including rock musician Makoto Aykawa. Famous for its light yet deep tonkotsu broth and excellent fried rice. Relocated in 2021 and still going strong.
Reviews consistently praise: 'This is the original shokudo-style ramen of Kurume,' 'The nostalgic flavor keeps you coming back,' 'The fried rice is as good as the ramen,' and 'The flavor hasn't changed after the move.' Regulars fill the seats right when it opens.
