Kairakuen
A historic Chinese restaurant founded in 1933, known as the birthplace of 'Taipien,' a Kumamoto local specialty. The first-generation owner, originally from Fujian Province, created this dish by adapting a glass noodle dish from their homeland into a Kumamoto style. Open for lunch only, and sometimes has a queue. Featured in the manga 'Cooking Papa.'
