Unagi Restaurant Kurenai
Founded in 1934, this venerable restaurant stands along the Shima River. The owner trained at the prestigious Tokyo restaurant Kitcho. Their specialty is Yumushi Unaju, eel steamed with Shima hot spring water—a dish unique to this restaurant. The late actor Kodama Kiyoshi was among its fans.
