Toritake
A celebrated yakitori restaurant tucked in a back alley of Fukuromachi, northeast of Omicho Market. Owner Makoto Takeuchi trained for about 10 years at 'Yakitori Toriyoshi,' a renowned Tokyo restaurant, before returning to his hometown Kanazawa and opening independently in 2014. Selected for Tabelog Yakitori WEST Top 100 three consecutive years (2023-2025). Uses exclusively Aomori Shamorock chicken; each skewer is carefully grilled over charcoal. The 6,000-yen omakase course is hard to book. Counter seats only (10 seats).
