Ramen Zenya
A well-known seafood-broth ramen shop in Watanoha, Ishinomaki. Founded in 2009, it closed in June 2024 when the founder retired, but a local restaurateur took over the recipe and revived it as the 'honten' (main shop) that October. The broth blends pork bone and seafood dashi, served with thin curly noodles. Featured in the Michelin Guide Miyagi 2017 special edition.
A February 2026 visitor blog praised the 'umami-packed, delicious salt broth' and 'thin wavy noodles that cling perfectly to the soup,' confirming consistent quality more than a year after the 2024 revival.
