Kissa Mambo
Founded in 1951 (Showa 26), loved for 70+ years as Kesennuma's first coffee shop. Destroyed by the 2011 tsunami, it reopened in 2014 with a faithful recreation of its Showa-era interior including chandeliers and stained glass. A casual kissaten-diner serving ramen, parfaits, fried rice and cold noodles. The spring-limited Strawberry Bavarois and Strawberry Parfait using local Hashikami strawberries draws visitors from across the prefecture. Many 3-generation repeat customers.
