Ramen Yamamoto Kasuga Honten
Founded in 1983 as a noren-wake spinoff of 'Fukuichi Ramen,' a long-established tonkotsu ramen shop in Kasuga City. Now run by the second generation. Characteristic rich yet clean-finishing tonkotsu broth made with Kagoshima pork bones using the traditional 'tori-kiri' method. Queues form on weekends; won 1st place at 2024 Kasuga Local Gourmet Grand Prix.
Many local regulars say 'I could eat this every day' and 'perfect balance of richness and clean finish.' 2024 Kasuga Local Gourmet Grand Prix 1st place. The combo with fried rice is a classic. Always busy with a nearly full parking lot.
