An eel specialty restaurant 8 minutes walk from Numazu Station South Exit in Agetsuchi-cho. Live eels only, prepared Kanto-style: steamed after initial grilling, then basted repeatedly in sweet tare sauce. Result is melt-soft flesh with a perfectly balanced sweet-savory glaze. Unaju comes in 1, 1.5 or 2 eel portions with liver soup. Takeout available.
