Open since 1978, this Showa-era coffee institution has kept watch over the Kameido station plaza for 47 years, welcoming guests into a world of samurai armor, katana, and rocking chairs — an atmosphere utterly unlike any ordinary café.

Revered as one of the Coffee Four Heavenly Kings of Tokyo for the caliber of its brew, the shop is equally famous for a morning set of toast, salad, and coffee at around 150 yen, a value so extraordinary it draws devoted regulars from across the city; it has also earned a Tabelog Café Top 100 honor.
