Yachiyoken
Founded in 1923 (Taisho 12), this storied chuka soba shop in Kamomachi, Wakabayashi-ku has been cherished for over 100 years. Signature house-made hand-kneaded wavy egg noodles and silky-smooth wontons are legendary. Locals say 'for wonton noodles in Sendai, it has to be Yachiyoken.' Lines form every day at lunch, parking fills within minutes.
Reviews consistently praise: '100+ years of history shows', 'The wobbly wonton texture is the best', 'Nostalgic Showa-era flavor', 'Worth waiting in line for', 'Must visit every time I come to Sendai'.
