Chikin Hausu
A local chicken specialty restaurant founded in 1958 in the rural Fugenji area of Kyotanabe City. Raises female chickens for 5+ months before charcoal grilling. The bone-in thigh chicken and chicken katsu set meals are signatures, with daily lunch specials selling out around 12:10. Many long-term regulars who return after 20+ or 10+ years. A beloved local institution listed on the 'Tea of Kyoto' tourism website.
