Yasuke Sushi
Est. 1882 (Meiji 15) — 143 years of continuous operation. A specialist shop preserving Wakayama's traditional narezushi and hayazushi. The 'hon-nare' style (mackerel salted for over a month, then naturally fermented) is a flavor you can only find in Wakayama. The more popular 'haya-zushi' uses brief fermentation (hours to one day) for a milder taste. Takeout only. Located in the Burakuri-cho shopping street.
