Kanbunn Gonen-do Inaniwa Honten
The manufacturer's own restaurant, located in Inaniwa, Inagawa-cho, the birthplace of Inaniwa udon. Produces and serves these noodles with over 300 years of history, with the factory right next door. Made entirely by hand using the traditional 'te-nobashi' (hand-stretching) technique, the thin, supple noodles have exceptional chew and smooth texture. One of Japan's Three Great Udons, enjoyed here in the very place it's made.
Reviewers note: 'Eating at the maker's own place makes it extra special', 'Thin noodles with surprising chewiness', 'Coming to Inaniwa and eating here is when I first understood what real Inaniwa udon is'. The convenience of buying and dining in one place is also appreciated.
