Mikazuki-do
Opened summer 2016, a popular bakery in the backstreets of Sangenjaya. Named 'Mikazuki-do' from the French word for croissant meaning 'crescent moon.' Uses house-made yeast, no additives. The 18-layer croissant is crispy and fragrant outside, moist inside. Milk France is the #1 seller. Born from a collaboration between a European restaurant chef and a bread artisan.
Tabelog 3.74. Yahoo rating 4+. Many regulars saying 'always stop by when in Sangenjaya' and 'best croissant here.' Descriptions like 'cute bakery like a gift shop' convey the beloved local atmosphere.
