Founded 1948, a natural sourdough bakery hidden in a side street of Onari shopping district, 3 minutes from Kamakura Station West Exit. Known for hard-style bread using domestic wheat, stone-ground whole grain and rye flour. Tabelog Bread Top 100 (2022, 2020). About 30 types of bread baked daily, with lines forming regularly. Takeout only.
Many local regulars say 'the more you chew the better it tastes' and 'always buy some to bring home when visiting Kamakura.' Takeout only but can eat while walking. Some items sell out by afternoon.
