Nomuraya Honten
Founded in Meiji 40 (1907), this century-old udon shop in Sano is the oldest establishment serving 'Mimi Udon' (ear-shaped udon), a local specialty with roots in a New Year's tradition of eating demon ears for good fortune. Selected for Udon EAST Best 100 in 2020, 2022, and 2024. Features homemade flour noodles with firm texture, five varieties of Mimi Udon, and daikon soba. May close early when sold out.
