Kikuya
A queue-forming ramen shop in Marumori, Igu-gun, Miyagi. Opened in 2014. Limited to approximately 80 bowls per day with numbered tickets distributed from the morning. It has become a hidden gem of southern Miyagi. Features a gentle niboshi (dried sardine) soy broth with classic thin curly noodles. The owner converted his family's sushi shop after closing his previous restaurant. The owner's philosophy of 'pursuing niboshi broth to the extreme' is condensed in every bowl. Tabelog 3.68 / 121 reviews — an outstanding score for a small town like Marumori.
Reviews say 'Worth getting up early to claim a ticket,' 'The niboshi richness is refined — I could drink the soup forever,' 'Can't believe a gem like this exists in a mountain town like Marumori,' 'Absolutely worth the wait in line.' Tabelog 3.68 / 121 reviews / 4,428 saved.
