Unagi no Asahiya
A long-established eel restaurant founded in 1960. For over 65 years, it has sat right in front of Kobodaishi (Ensho-in temple), beloved by local Chiryu residents. Live eels from Mikawa Isshiki are carefully grilled over charcoal, producing eel with 'crispy skin and fluffy flesh.' Even the premium unaju is an excellent value at approximately ¥2,300. 17 min walk from Chiryu Station, car recommended.
