After four years of training at the legendary Kadoya Shokudo, the owner opened Uemachi in 2012 — and hasn't looked back since.
The shop has appeared on the Tabelog Osaka Top 100 Ramen list every year from 2017 to 2025, while earning Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition continuously from 2020 through 2025.
The soy-based broth — built from Yamato chicken, pork, and plant-based ingredients — comes with house-made noodles for just 1,050 yen, prompting regulars across personal blogs and social media to call it the finest shoyu ramen in Osaka.
With only eight counter seats and a habit of selling out before the evening rush, queues form even on weekday afternoons.
