Eel kaiseki restaurant founded in 1965, the only establishment in Ibaraki selected for Tabelog's Unagi Top 100 four times (2018, 2019, 2022, 2024). 46-seat tatami dining room. The kabayaki is praised for its thick, soft eel. Prices revised in August 2025 due to eel procurement costs. 30-40 min wait on weekends.
Reviews say 'you haven't been to Mito without eating eel here', 'moved by the fluffy kabayaki', 'befits the only Top 100 Eel shop in Ibaraki'. Jo grade 5,000 yen / Tokujyo 6,500 yen is reasonable for eel (after August 2025 revision).
